HIMOINSA has officially opened its new ‘Innovation and Coworking Center’, a building that symbolises a new phase in its commitment to innovation, sustainability and connecting people. Conceived as a multidisciplinary meeting point, this space is designed to foster collaboration between teams, enrich the customer experience and showcase the company's technological potential in a carefully designed, inspiring and functional environment.
The new center combines product exhibition areas, collaborative work areas, immersive spaces for commercial networking and an aesthetic atmosphere that balances contemporary design and Eastern philosophy, reflecting the synergy between HIMOINSA and Yanmar. All this is based on the principles of sustainable construction and the HANASAKA philosophy.
“The building has been conceptualised with a sustainable architectural design featuring wooden structures and interior gardens that give the space a strong connection between people and their environment”, explains Cristina Avilés, Global Marketing and Communication Head at HIMOINSA, who highlights “the Euro-Japanese aesthetic-cultural fusion, the result of the relationship between HIMOINSA and Yanmar”.
The new space uses recycled materials, eco-friendly paints, LED lighting and other low environmental impact solutions, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability under the Yanmar Green Challenge framework.
The collaborative work area has been designed to boost internal innovation, enabling continuous interaction between different areas and departments of the company, from the initial conception of the product to its delivery to the end customer.
This shared environment not only encourages the flow of ideas, but also acts as a true knowledge hub, capable of accelerating projects and solutions. The central core has been built using the Kubik concept, a modular and scalable solution designed for contemporary office design, helping to create workspaces that stimulate creativity, encourage teamwork and meetings between different departments.
The new center has an exhibition area that reflects the company's technological diversification. Divided into business units —OnSite Power, Mobile Power, Telecom and Power Solutions— the space includes physical products and large-format multimedia displays, which allow audiovisual content, technical specifications and multimedia resources adapted to each area to be projected.
The ‘Innovation and Coworking Center’ is part of the Factory Tour and the experience that HIMOINSA offers its customers. After touring the production centers, visitors can learn more about HIMOINSA's technological offerings, hold meetings with the sales and technical teams, and explore synergies in an open, professional and friendly environment.
A space designed for coexistence, conversation and the sharing of values and experiences. The “Hanasaka Coffee” area promotes informal encounters between employees, customers and suppliers, projecting the HANASAKA philosophy; a space where talent, creativity and respect flourish through values that encourage inspiration and commitment to society.
Materials that comply with “Cradle to Cradle” certification have been used, which certifies that products return to the biosphere at the end of their life cycle, imitating nature's sustainable and regenerative productivity. These include FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood from responsibly managed forests, promoting conservation and biodiversity.
To achieve maximum energy efficiency, work has been carried out on insulating the building envelope, including the use of natural volcanic rock with a high recycled content. Natural light has been incorporated into the space, with large openings to the outside and skylights in the roof, and LED lighting has been installed, ensuring energy savings of 80% compared to traditional technology.
The center is equipped with a centralised multimedia content management system, which allows technical information to be displayed for each business unit. In addition, users can connect their devices (PCs and mobile phones) to project work content onto large screens during meetings, with a technological infrastructure that reinforces agile working dynamics and efficiency in interactions with teams and clients.
The ‘Innovation and Coworking Center’ symbolises HIMOINSA's commitment to technological innovation, sustainability and the creation of spaces that encourage collaborative work between departments and excellence in the customer experience.
