MOBILE
TRANSFORMER SUBSTATION
Efficiency of the transformer 98,5%
Minimum guaranteed power loss
HRS 6300 D5/6 and HRS 3150 D5/6 transformer substations manufactured by HIMOINSA make it possible to transform low and medium voltage and to connect up to 4 generator sets running in parallel in one and the same station. These substations can transform up to 6.3 MVA and 3.15 MVA depending on whether a 20ft or a 10ft container is used, respectively.
HRS 6300 D5/6
20´ CONTAINER
Nominal Power 2x3150 kVA

HRS 3150 D5/6
10´ CONTAINER
Nominal Power 3150 kVA

LOW MAINTENANCE
Very low maintenance due to its flexibility in operation, together with its constructive and functional characteristics.
TRANSPORTABILITY
Easily and quickly it can be relocated in different places with no need for any special permits for sea or road transport.
SPACE AND COST SAVINGS
Connection of up to 4 generators directly to the substation makes it possible to considerably optimize the work space. In those cases where space is considered an important disadvantage, the option of a mobile transformer substation is the perfect solution.

Reference projects
The Sibanye Gold Mine Driefontein is located in the South African town of Sibanye (55 kilometres to the south east of the capital, Johannesburg). 9 HMW-1270 T5 generator sets have been installed in the mine, 4 of which have been connected to a HRS 6300 D5/6 transformer substation housed in a 20ft container. The substation is currently transforming an installed power of 5,080 kVA from low to medium voltage in order to power the machinery running in the mine.
The need to employ transformer substations is of vital importance to the mine, as the general grid cannot cope with the peaks of demand of the heavy machinery used in such projects.
