    Quieter Silent Plus generator sets, with even more running time for the rental sector

    HIMOINSA has just released the "Silent Plus" range, which reduces noise emissions without limiting the performance of the machine. The range includes generator sets that use Stage IIIA engines from Yanmar, FPT and Scania. They cover a power range between 20 and 550 kVA and guarantee noise levels of around 60 dB at 7 meters


    HIMOINSA's engineering team has envisaged important enhancements for applications within the rental sector, which is why it has designed a genset that is ideal for events and work in urban areas where there are greater acoustic restrictions. The low levels of noise emissions have been achieved thanks to an improved and more optimized design of the air intakes and outputs. A dual core exhaust system has also been included as standard, not to mention top-quality insulating materials such as high-density, 100mm thick rock wool and silent blocks 

    that have been specifically sized for the engine-alternator assembly and its dynamic characteristics. The new design also contemplates the complete insulation of the control panel, for all models of HRFW S+ and HRSW S+ series. This remains insulated from the rest of the compartment to avoid noise emissions when the door is opened to manipulate the panel. The models in this new range come with a waterproof and mechanically highly resistant canopy and wide doors with more resistant stainless steel locks that guarantee greater security against the threat of vandalism or robbery (not available for the HRYW S+ series).

    Generators that are used by the rental sector may well have to work long hours outdoors. As they are likely to be subjected to all manner of temperatures and even to heavy rain, HIMOINSA Silent Plus generator sets have a special seal on all the canopy's attachment points to prevent water from getting in. To guarantee the greatest possible running time, high-capacity tanks have been added in certain cases. 

    If we add to this the fact that all the engines have electronic injection control, we can guarantee a running time of at least 24 hours and in some cases, even as much as 35 hours. That amounts to more than four working days without having to refuel.

    The Silent Plus range features drainage valves to make it easier to clean the radiator. The largest models, the FPT and the Scania series, also have steps and hand-grips that facilitate access for maintenance purposes. The generator sets in this range that have an FPT and Scania engines also include low-level coolant sensors for an even more accurate control.

    Optional features include Powerlock outlets with 100% of the genset's rated kW capacity, for quick, simple and safe connection. Each phase has a different shape and colour and all it takes to make the connection is a quick flick of the wrist.

    The new series offers the same optional elements as the rental range already has, such as cyclonic air filters, leakage detectors, a three-way valve with quick connectors or fuel filter water separators.
