HIMOINSA has been honoured at the "Company of the Year" awards organised by Prensa Ibérica and the La Opinión de Murcia newspaper with the support of Banco Sabadell. The award recognises HIMOINSA's contribution to the industrial fabric of the Region de Murcia, its unwavering commitment to internationalisation - the company is present in more than 130 countries - and its leadership in power technology solutions.
With a workforce of 1,587 employees and a global turnover of more than 400 million euros, the Murcian company's strategic focus has enabled it to position itself as a world leader. The company's strong commitment to internationalisation - HIMOINSA has 8 production centres and 12 subsidiaries, has enabled it to position itself as one of Spain's most important global companies.
An essential element of its global growth is its determination to increase its presence in the Region of Murcia, where it is continuing to invest in the construction of new production plants, including a new Power Solutions production centre for the manufacture of high-power generator sets, which will be located in Alcantarilla. This expansion is in addition to the factory the company opened last year in Balsicas, close to its headquarters in the municipality of San Javier.

This event is part of a series of business awards that Prensa Ibérica organises throughout the country, thereby consolidating its position as one of the most important media groups in Spain. The first edition in Murcia has several categories, including Company of the Year and Business Person of the Year, as well as awards for Sustainability, Innovation, Inclusion, Internationalisation and Family Business.
The meeting of the jury to select the winners of the Banco Sabadell Awards was held last September at the offices of the La Opinión de Murcia ewspaper. The jury was made up of executives from Banco Sabadell, La Opinión, the Department of Business, Employment and Social Economy of the Region of Murcia, the Urban Development and Smart City Department of Murcia City Council, Amefmur, the Official Association of Economists of Murcia, the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UMU, and Úbico. All of them have highlighted HIMOINSA's leadership as an international benchmark in the production of power solutions.
Organised by the Prensa Ibérica Group, La Opinión de Murcia and Banco Sabadell, the Company of the Year Awards seek to support and raise the profile of leading companies in the Region of Murcia, and to promote business growth and entrepreneurship. The 2024 edition, the first to be held in the Region, follows in the footsteps of awards already held in cities such as Malaga, Valencia and Zaragoza.
